Education
As an academic institution the Department of Psychiatry at Yale considers
education to be one of its central and most important missions. Faculty
of the Department of Psychiatry are actively involved in undergraduate
(medical student) and graduate (resident/fellow) medical education and
participate in the training of physician's associates, psychologist and
social workers.The Department has ACGME accredited residency programs
in general adult, forensic, addition and geriatric psychiatry as well
as an accredited psychology training program.
The Department has established an Office of Education to coordinate
and facilitate these various educational activities.
